Tuesday, 14 July 2009 12:07 Written by Urbanatomy You can now mainline your high-end Thai fixations from the comfort of your own home as Sherpa’s have added Little Face on Donghu Lu to their growing list of restaurants. The menu is a collision of the old Hazara and Lan Na Thai menus with all the old faves, all fab food at the high-end of the market. Sherpa’s other Thai options include everyone’s little favorite hideaway, Thai House (both Jiashan Lu Loft and Wuding Lu branches) that will keep your wallet in action after the event and will be adding a bigger selection of dishes over the next month. Naam Thai, like Little Face hitting the high-end of the market, opened last year in The Loft by the Walter of T8 fame and has become a mainstay, while Thai Gallery is hitting up the mid-range following the owners’ success with Vietnamese food from F.C.C. on Julu Lu (also available for Sherpa’s delivieries) and Bali Laguna (currently too busy for Sherpa’s deliveries). And watch out in the French Concession area, as Thai Food Station at the Melting Pot offers great value. Out in the wonderful world of Hongqiao, there has been an explosion of Thai restaurants, with some great options available from Rua Thai, Royal Thai Kitchen and the newest Hongqiao addition of Kalae Chiang Mai Thai -very reasonably-priced and authentic cuisine from a chef all the way from Chiang Mai, so this is spicy Northern-style Thai. Golden Thai was another new Thai addition added to this year’s Hongqiao menu.
